Condos Near Chenjiaqiao city

I really like the appearance of these buildings in this phase. Of course they use the ubiquitous green mesh over scaffolding, but because these buildings are not just straight shaft towers, it takes a few minutes to work out what their shape is going to be. After the concrete is poured the workers remove the green mesh and start bricking up some of the openings.

I really like the appearance of these buildings in this phase. Southwest Approach to Laijiaqiao

Residents from the south and west of Laijiaqiao can walk over this terrain if they are in a hurry to board the metro. Of course the hazard is the plywood bridge and the often saturated red mud, both of which make it unwise to wear your best shoes into town. At most metro platforms in Chongqing you can see a number of motorcycles carrying passengers right up to the escalators. The drivers are willing to drive over curbs, sidewalks and just about any terrain. This was the first platform I had seen that stumped most of the moto-cabs.

New Piers, Laijiaqiao

The piers for the elevated track are poured in place. The beams that make up the deck are later placed atop of them. When they are standing alone without an immediate function they remind me of famous stone monuments around the world, Stonehenge, Poulnabrone etc. The basic post and lintel strategy never goes out of fashion.
