This is a selection of images from the last nine months spent photographing new construction in China. These photos will be included in a solo exhibition at the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute (Daxuecheng campus) running from October 18th to October 22nd. I have been using photographs in sculptures for several years but this is the first time I am exhibiting a substantial body of the photos themselves.
Hope you enjoy!

Our skewed and very outdated image of China is from the colonial era or the last dynasty. There must be a Chinese Carl Sandberg somewhere who is writing memorable poetry about the pulsing life in China and the almost impossible to imaging the change that is occurring. Your photos help close that gap. Thanks Pa

Wish I could be there to see these photos Patrick as they look fantastic. Also the Kashgar column details would be great to see. Congrats, Norma
